About the team
Assistant Manager of the North Vancouver location, Mark was born and raised on the North Shore, and has always been surrounded by combat sports and fi...tness. Mark grew up learning Karate, then switched disciplines to Western boxing. Besides dancing around in a ring, throwing hands. A trainer here before the doors had even opened, Claire has been working at 9Round for 18 months and is now one of the Assistant Managers. After movin...g from a small town, Claire found her passion for fitness in North Vancouver. While balancing part time school, full time work, and trying to keep a social life, you can find her downtown taking pictures, boarding at Whistler, taking notes in a café, or hanging out with everyone at the gym. “9Round made it possible for me to find something I’m truly passionate about. José Lucas Neves Ferreira
Born in Brazil, since José was young, he has been involved with combat sports. After 13 years of arduous training reached black belt in jiu-jitsu and ...brown belt of judo while taking up boxing on the side. José couldn’t understand how could anyone get a good workout in 30 minutes, but after the workout his first workout he understood how. “ It’s the perfect mixture of intense and fun, all while there's a feeling like you're apart of a family! I’m proud to say that i’m apart of such a great team, and super excited to help out everyone as a trainer!” More

He is a health and fitness fanatic and loves spe...nding his time working out, hiking with his Australian shepherd Kylo and helping others achieve their fitness goals. Orianne was born in Tahiti and only moved to Canada when she was turning 10 years old. Orianne has always been surrounded by combat sports (taekwondo,... judo, etc) but after moving here she settled down for boxing. If she’s not at 9round Orianne will probably be found in a boxing ring, travelling and/ or petting dogs. Orianne realized that she want to study kinesiology so that she can be a boxing coach which is why she is very grateful to be on the 9Round team. “I get to teach others my technique and help them achieve their fitness goals. In the end, my goal is to have everyone in the gym smiling, being proud of their achievements and wanting to come back the next day.” More
Sara, born and raised in North Vancouver is full-time student at a local University. She brings a unique perspective to the 9round team as she was a f...ormer member before becoming a trainer. She fell in love with the workout and could be found at the gym every day. She wants to share her passion with all members by bringing a bright energy to the floor every day. “I like to say 9round changed my life. I could barely do a sit-up when I first started and now I’m here as a trainer. I want to inspire and help people with their fitness journeys, just like my trainers did for me.” More
