Lui and Melissa Pisano
"Mighty Mel" and "Left Hook"
Husband and Wife team, Lui and Melissa, are very passionate about fitness and have been for most of their adult life. After having spent time in vario...us, traditional style gyms, Melissa began to work as Manager of local Muay Thai Boxing gym and introduced Lui to this high intensity workout. Melissa and Lui, along with their children, trained for several years under some of the best Muay Thai Instructors in the province. With career changes for both of them, making it on time to their favorite classes became a challenge and they slowly migrated back to the traditional gym to stay active and continue on their journey of leading a fit lifestyle. In 2017, Melissa and Lui found 9Round. After trying the workout, and falling in love with the concept of No Set Class times, Trainers included and getting a High Intensity workout in just 30 Minutes, they knew this was something they would LOVE doing, not just for themselves but also to help others with their fitness journey. After completing the 9Round Approval process and Certification Training, Melissa and Lui chose Maple, ON, their home community, to open their first 9Round location. 14 Months later, an opportunity presented itself and Lui and Melissa took ownership of the Vaughan Rutherford Road 9Round Location and now own 2 of the very best gyms in the city of Vaughan! More
Jade is a two time National Karate Champion, as well as a Certified Personal Trainer. She graduated from Humber College taking the Fitness and Health ...Promotion program. He, himself, through dedication and commitment, has lost over 100lbs. Peter loves to challenge people to be the best version of themselves. More

She is currently a full time university student m...ajoring in kinesiology in hopes that she can use her education to help others achieve a healthier and physically active lifestyle in a safe, practical way. With a background in gymnastics and soccer she has always been determined to reach her goals, now striving to aid others in their own fitness journey and achieving their goals nine rounds at a time!! Alex “Rainmaker” Racco Alex is a 3rd year university student at University of Toronto taking part in the Architecture program. Although he may be b...usy designing and creating, Alex has time to always work on himself in the gym as well as motivate those around him to live their best lives. Being active and sporadic, Alex has been involved with various of sport teams and clubs from a very young age to this day. He has also achieved his black belt after training at his dojo for 4 years, and at the same time helping train the students to one day get their black belts. Alex began his 9Round journey in March 2018 and is still an active member. Now that he has found his new passion, kickboxing, his goal is to spread his positive energy to those working hard in the gym, getting those to their fullest potential one sweat stain at a time! More
With a background in kickboxing and boxing, Paolo has had an ongoing passion for fitness and health. He is a Certified Personal Trainer with Box n Bur...n Academy and has trained at some of the best local kickboxing and boxing gyms in the GTA. Paolo brings along his experience to motivate and encourage our clients to be the best version of themselves, nine rounds at a time! More
Alana “Alanhil8r” Simonetta has always lived an active lifestyle. Her athletic career began during her elementary school days where she entered in a ...Taekwondo program at her local community centre. From there, she practiced in the art of Shotokan Karate and taught kickboxing. Alana is excited to be doing it again with Lui, Mel and the rest of the team! When she isn’t working out or teaching at 9Round, you can find her writing or taking photographs. More
Dale "Chip" Friedland is passionate about High Intensity Interval Training, Jiu Jitsu and Boxing. Qualified as a personal trainer and instructor with ...the HFPA (Health and Fitness Professionals Association) and currently working on his ISSA (International Sports Sciences Association) certification, Dale is always up for a high paced, safe, fun and enthusiastic workout. Always ready to pass on knowledge, technique, motivation and some good old fashioned enthusiasm. Dale is always a student and always a teacher in everything he does in the fitness and martial arts world. Attitude determines altitude every time! More
